Museum Het Schip

Amsterdam School Icon

Experience what it’s like to live in the 1920s “Amsterdam School” movement at Museum Het Schip, located in Amsterdam’s most expressionistic apartment block. The characteristic brick building was designed in 1910 by well-known architect Michel de Klerk as a public housing complex. It now hosts a permanent, interactive exhibition which shows the beauty of the Amsterdam School in full glory - the buildings, the art and the upliftment of the working class.
